We understand that the admissions process into schools can seem quite complicated: our aim is to make the transition as smooth as possible for your child, and for the rest of the family.

If you are enquiring for Day – School from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12  or Boarding for girls from Grade 3 through Grade 12, please do contact our Deputy Head of Admissions, Banu Prakash (+91 8792 401404) or Bhavani (+91 8610 559741) as they are the experts and will be your first port of call in your initial contact with Advaith. They will be only too happy to advise you on the right process for your child.

We welcome children into Advaith at various different ages and year groups; sometimes there are spaces and sometimes we have a waiting list.  The best thing to do is have a look around our website and then get in touch with the team who will be happy to help.

Entry Requirements

Nursery or Pre-K.G.

For those entering the Nursery at age 2.6 years, admission is by visit, informal interview.

Lower & Upper Kindergarten

For those entering Kindergarten at age 3.6 for Lower Kindergarten and 4.6 years for Upper Kindergarten admission is through a series of short standardised tests in reading, spelling and mathematical skills via an informal interview.

Grades 1 & 2

Students entering at age 5.6 and 6.6. for grades 1 & 2 respectively are admitted through a standardised assessment involving reasoning, mathematical and English skills. Students moving to Advaith for Grade to a reference from the candidate’s current school and an interview where possible.

The following are the procedures for admission for Grade 3 to Grade 8.

  • A formal interview
  • Progress report from the previous school
  • A written assessment

The procedure which will broadly assess pupils in six areas: Creativity, Collaboration, Confidence, Communication, Commitment and Curiosity.

Senior School: Grades 9 & 10

Admissions for Grades 9 & 10 are based on academic performance in the previous school. Admission can be sought either online or walk-in. Pupils obtaining a minimum average of 60% in all of the CBSE or ICSE subjects in the previous school’s applications will be taken.
