Welcome to Advaith International Academy

Drawing & Painting

Our school Advaith International Academy has created a best platform for the students to improve and present their artistic skill through Art. Art is one of the most widely practiced art form in the world. As we all know, drawing comes naturally to young children and it is fundamental to their learning and understanding the world around them.

The main aim of our Art is to promote the aesthetic sense of the students to give a proper channel to explore their creative talents. We provide opportunity to the students to augment creative expression, self-discovery, self-esteem and self-control. Each work of our students in art creates a sense of achievement in them. Students are motivated to promote arts and appreciate them through presentation and through performances.

Art is chartered in Advaith School to serve the diverse needs and interest of our students. We have created an avenue for forming friendships, cultural expression, skill development and aiding the students for their future career in arts, design, architecture and science. Through this club we help children to retain and develop their drawing abilities and sustain their enthusiasm for self-expression within an artistic led environment.

Drawing is fundamental to human existence, predating written language. It play a major role in human evolution and development. Each involves a different way of thinking:

  • Art emphasises ideas, feelings, and visual qualities
  • It emphasises the right use of tools and materials
  • It emphasises planning, problem-solving and completion, using drawing as a means of thinking

These unite in the basic human drive to shape the world, for functional purposes, and to express and communicate ideas and feelings. The contribution of the visual and plastic arts to life is a unique and enriching experience for all.

Art provide a unique part of the education of the whole person, through heart, head and hand, enabling the person to shape his or her world with discernment, and to understand and appreciate the work of others. The benefits of an education in Art, Craft and Design for the student at this developmental stage extend far beyond a competence in the subject itself (and the ability to apply it through life): Art, Craft and Design education develops a number of important personal qualities, particularly those of initiative, perseverance, sensibility and self- reliance.

  • To develop motor skill.
  • To encourage visual analysis.
  • To create problem solving skill.
  • To increase individual confidence.
  • To help to establish their concentration.
  • To improve their hand-eye coordination.

Our school students brought out their creativity, innovation, awareness and aesthetic sense through their drawing. Students work in groups to bring out the best drawing. Many drawing competitions are held in our school based on various themes. Our school students actively participated in those events and gave their best performance.

Through Art activities, students understand and learn the basic principles of design and colour, concepts, media and formats, and develop the ability to apply them to a specific aesthetic intent. The activities conducted will also include functional knowledge of the traditions, conventions, and evolutions of the discipline as related to issues of representation, illusion, and meaning. The development of solutions to aesthetic and design problems continue to express their own ideas in an artistic way. The activities are created to develop the ability in students to synthesize the use of drawing, two-dimensional design, and colour, beginning with basic studies and continuing toward the development of advanced capabilities. The students perform the activities and gain knowledge and skills in the use of basic tools, techniques, and processes sufficient to work from concept to finished product, including knowledge of paints and surfaces.

The students increase the ability to explore the expressive possibilities of various media, and the diverse conceptual modes available in their painting. This may deal with direct painting from nature or with alternative approaches to the making of traditional or innovative too- and, at times, three-dimensional images.

Students progress toward developing a consistent, personal direction and style and the ability to work independently.
