Dancing is the closest thing to magic. Dancers don’t need wings to fly.’ Advaith offers diverse styles of dances and encourages students to showcase variety of dance styles they are admire. Dance is an art that involves perfect, rhythmic and synchronised movement of human body usually to music. The art form of dance delights both the performer and the spectator. The performer finds pleasure in expressing the intense feeling and the spectator absorbing the gratifying visual presentation. According to the English ballet master, John Weaver, “Dancing is an elegant, and regular movement, harmoniously composed of beautiful Attitudes, and contrasted graceful Posture of the Body, and parts thereof.” India, a land of diversity, doesn’t fail to amaze us with innumerable forms of dance practised here. From Bharatnatyam to Kathak, Kathakali to Manipuri, Kuchipudi to Odissi, India is the wealthiest in its traditions and culture.

The term ‘dance’ requires no definite definition to understand it, it is a way humans have invented to express their essence. Humans find comfort in self-expression through dance. Dance is interwoven in almost every aspect of our life such as communication, celebration, learning, belief systems and relations. Dance is what dance is. It can be an art; it can be magic; but, most of all, it is an experience to be prized for itself. Advaith school in Hosur offers dance as a full time programme to our students.
