Welcome to Advaith International Academy

Hockey

Hockey is the National Game of India. Advaith Hockey students work their muscle structure, especially the core muscles and legs, while developing skills in the upper limbs. In addition, it improves balance, coordination and agility, since very quick reactions are demanded during the game. It is a complete sport that requires good coordination and understanding between players, this promotes very healthy and positive values. One of the strengths of this sport is the communication improvement between participants. Field hockey builds teamwork. Playing with a team of 11 people develops the spirit of teamwork for the successful achievement of goals and victory. Playing field hockey involves verbal and non-verbal communication through the eyes and gestures between the players. Athletes communicate during a very fast paced game, which contributes to an improvement in their communication skills both on and off the field. At Advaith, it’s not just the game but we work to help our student-athletes grow holistically.

Exercise boosts our mood due to the release of endorphins, eliminating feelings of depression, stress and anxiety. Field Hockey requires good decision-making and strategy; these abilities are transferred to students’ personal and professional life. Like other sports that Advaith School in Hosur hosts, develops an attitude of solidarity. Good players are not stars just because of their skills, they have earned the respect of their fellow teammates because of their ability, they knows how to make the whole group play. In addition, field hockey improves the relationship with friends or peers and forms new relationships in school. For shy people, a team sport is ideal as it strengthens interpersonal relationships that can transfer to other facets of life.

“Advaith is Tremendously Successful in Balancing between Sports & Games and Academics for Boys and Girls”

Advaith School in Hosur is extremely serious when it comes to smokes, drinks and drugs. We bring great and deep awareness in our students. Like other sports and games at Advaith, Field hockey keeps you healthy and keeps you away from bad habits. Since Hockey is a sport of great physical demand, its practice encourages maintaining a healthy diet, an active life, and a clear mind. Kids who play field hockey and other sports and games, have a high probability of avoiding, in their adolescence, bad habits such as cigarette, alcohol and drugs.

Student-athletes will measure their development and success through several scales such as position-specific statistics, game day evaluations, practice tapes, strength & conditioning goals, and academic progress. Advaith’s Hockey School in Hosur is structured like a professional program so that student-athletes understand the requirements both on and off the field and are prepared for the schedule at the next level.

Advaith Hockey student-athletes not only train within a schedule that reflects that of a professional program, but they are also expected to maintain similar expectations, such as respect, academic success, responsibility and ownership, mental and physical toughness, and complete personal and athletic development.

With several teams competing across various levels in school, Advaith Hockey Academy will identify which program is the best fit for prospective student-athletes grades 2-12 based on their age, skill level, position, and overall goals. Advaith Hockey Academy follows the practice requirements and standards in a professional way to emulate International Hockey Tournaments.

Competitive and friendly match opportunities on a regular basis are arranged with quality opponents and talented students will get an opportunity to play at the Youth Academy teams. Advaith Hockey Academy is the first step in the career of a young aspiring Hockey player. Students will also be provided Sports Science expertise in Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition and Injury Prevention concepts during their professional Hockey journey.

Advaith’s Hockey School Teams take on an incredibly competitive schedule against teams of other schools and clubs in Hosur and Bangalore. Players will arrive in April to begin their pre-season training camp, compete in 30+ games, train develop and practise. These teams are comprised of some of the best players in the region as well as those with aspirations to compete in the higher levels of Hockey Premier Leagues.

Advaith intends to help students get placed in universities via Sports Quota.
