Counselling and guidance session at Advaith International Academy

Guidance & Counseling

Counselling strives for teachers, family and students to understand their connections, adults to realize their capacities and children to thrive in their development. We strongly believe that as emotional intelligence is developed and enhanced, the functioning of an individual is freed to grow in all areas-socially, intellectually and vocationally. Advaith's school climate is inclusive and sociable where children and teachers live, learn and grow. Our trained professional staff bring proven model mental health programs to children and staff in the environments where they come to develop and grow. Working directly in a host environment eliminates common and persistent barriers to access to necessary mental and emotional health services. The counsellor achieves goals by providing a variety of services to students; these services include the following:

Student Counseling & Guidance Programme

At Advaith International Academy, our experienced counsellors provide comprehensive support to help students thrive in their personal, social, emotional, and psychological development. We believe that true education nurtures the whole child - not just academic success. Our counsellors work closely with students, parents, teachers, and the wider community to guide every child toward becoming confident, responsible, and well-balanced individuals. Through a blend of guidance curriculum, individual counselling, and small-group sessions, we help students build essential life skills.

Key Areas of Support

  • Developing strong communication, cooperation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Building habits that promote good physical and mental health while avoiding harmful behaviours
  • Enhancing decision-making abilities, self-efficacy, and personal responsibility
  • Raising awareness of educational and career opportunities and how to access them
  • Fostering positive self-esteem as both students and future contributors to society
  • Promoting respect for gender equality and cultural diversity
  • Creating personalised plans for academic and career pathways beyond school

Beyond individual support, our counselling team plays a vital role in

  • Creating a positive and inclusive school climate where every child feels safe to learn and grow
  • Coordinating with teachers and parents to address the needs of all students
  • Ensuring students have easy access to appropriate school and community resources

At Advaith, counselling is not reactive but proactive. Our counsellors are qualified professionals who provide a caring, confidential space for students to navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and prepare for a meaningful future.

Students are the at heart of our values.
